Everything was so good They were kind and helpful staff & I learn from them some spanish words hhhh
They locked the main door at 12 midnight & but there is a 24 reception guy you can call him to open

The best part about Hostal America is that it is so central and you can literally see and smell the vibe down below your room yet the rooms are very quiet once the window is closed. Also the rooftop terrace feels like you are in a small town surrounded by beautiful rooftops so you can chill out and enjoy the sunshine up there. The staff are so nice too and have a great sense of humour! Definitely my first choice if I were to stay in Madrid again!

This is a very good hotel. It is not very comfortable, but the atmosphere is friendly. It`s located in a very nice place. I had no problem there. .

The guys that run this hotel are so friendly and nothing is to much trouble .. I had a wonderful stay at hostel America .Madrid is a great city only enhanced by this lovely hotel.

Very conveniently situated for all sites - can easily walk but metro excellent when used. Plenty of Taxi ranks.
Tended to be noisey with bell ringing very late into early morning hours and noise of walking in corridor

Very good location if you want to be in Chueca area. Free Internet Connection very good signal.
Our room (502) was very small for 2 and also very wet. Walls are very thin and you can hear sounds of everything, especially washing machines next to it ; sounds of shower, wc etc.... Some familly with child were here and they were very noisy, running in the hotel. Nobody from the hotel told them to respect others people akthough you have always someone that is here at the entrance. Very very disappointed.
